We interviewed players from the Japanese women's handball team, "Orihime Japan," which won its first ever gold medal at the 19th Asian Games (Hangzhou, China), about REVIVE. This time, we spoke with four players: Kasai, captain of the Japanese team and a member of Sony Semiconductor Manufacturing Blue Sakuya; Hatsumi, a member of Mie Violet Iris; Yoshitome, a member of Hokkoku Bank; and Okada, a member of Kagawa Bank.
"Continuous use has made me feel less tired ."
"I like that REVIVE is compact, portable, and easy to use ."
(Kasai/First-time player)
When do you use REVIVE?
Kasai) Basically, players who don't have trainer's care use it for about 20 minutes at about 75mmHg after practice. Other than that, if there is free time after the trainer's care is over, I sometimes use it.
Yoshitome) Other than that, when I have some free time before a match, I use it for a short period of time with low pressure to loosen up my body. It's easy to use and useful when the weather is bad or there isn't enough time to go for a walk, and I don't want to tire myself out by running, but I still want to warm myself up a little.
What did you think after actually using REVIVE?
Kasai) I had heard that other athletes around me were using it and that it was good, so I tried it out when I was tired and it made my legs feel lighter, so I've been using it continuously. I feel like I'm getting less fatigued as a result of using it continuously.
Yoshitome) I can really feel the blood flowing and my legs feel refreshed.
(First-time player) There's no need to do any preparation before use, so I thought it was easy to use.
Okada) I knew about it but never had a chance to use it so I was curious about it, but when I tried it out at the national team training camp, it felt really good.
What do you think is good about REVIVE?
(First-time player) It's compact and rechargeable, so I think it's convenient and great that you can carry it around with you.
Yoshitome) It feels similar to getting a massage, but I like the fact that I can get treatment while doing other things, like watching a video.
Okada) I think the pressure is just right, and that it goes from the sole of the foot to the base of the leg is great.
Handball is characterized by its speed and dynamism, including all the movements of "running, throwing, and jumping," and body contact similar to martial arts. In order to perform at your best in hard practice and games, it is important not to accumulate fatigue through daily recovery. We look forward to seeing even more success from "Orihime Japan" in the future.
